The Lost Season of 2024

My excitement of having a new sports car to play with at the track hit a major snag this past season: eldercare issues. Long story short, one of my relatives ended up needing a lot of help this past year, and we ended up having this relative live with us while we scrambled to figure out a longer term solution. It took most of the summer to figure out a plan, and while that plan is mostly implemented now, it still requires some loose ends to be tied up.

2024 consisted of getting out to my MoHud Region SCCA autocrosses and a single track day back in April, but that’s it. My four autocrosses were good times to test out the handling capabilities of the Civic Type R, and my day at Lime Rock Park put a huge smile on my face. The Type R proved to be more fun than the M2 Comp had been, and the handling of the car was phenomenal.

Hope springs eternal, and I’m hoping that 2025 will bring much more opportunity to get out and have fun at the track.
